Exhausted!!
I just got home from work a half hour ago and I am sooooo exhausted! And I only worked for 4 hours. I have an 8 hour day tomorrow and a 6 hour day on Sunday. This is going to be a LONG weekend!! So, I guess I'll be going to bed early (now there's a shocker!!!) so I won't be able to play with this weblog tonight. I still need to figure out how to get the comments up and working. I may need some extra help w/ this one. I worked on it earlier for over an hour and I am not doing something right. I won't have the time or the energy to do this this weekend though. Oh well, this isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
A work in progress
I am having so much fun doing this weblog. I seem to be picking things up pretty quickly (we're talking basics here!) and I'm loving every minute of it. Again, I have to thank Mel because she's been holding my hand through this process and helping me w/ advice and tips on how to improve. And she made that sweet little title graphic up there and is being kind enough to host it for me. I am going to get a different guestbook service because I don't like the pop-ups that come w/ Bravenet's service and I'd like to get a 'comments' thing going here too. Now if only I could find some time to eat, sleep and take care of the family while I'm doing all of this- life would be grand. LOL So, keep coming back to see the changes I make and to find out how truly boring your life isn't after reading about mine. ::wink::
Friday Five

1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?
I don't think I had a favorite. I loved Wonder Woman and just about any other character on the air at the time.

2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?
I can't really think of anything right now. We were poor but we always had tons of toys to play with. My mom got a lot of our toys at yard sales and we had a lot of what was popular because of that. I'm sure I wanted something but I can't really think of anything right now.

3. What's the furthest from home you've been?
However far Florida is from New Hampshire. When I was a kid we went to Florida to visit my grandparents and that's the farthest I've ever been from home. We don't travel much anymore now that we have 3 kids. :::pouting:::

4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet?
I have always wanted to learn how to play the piano. Whenever I hear a beautiful piano solo I just sigh inside wishing I had that talent, or had been given the chance to have that talent. Maybe someday.......

5. What are your plans for the weekend?
I will be working, working, working this weekend. I will work almost 20 hours this weekend. FUN! But, I like the paycheck I'll get from it so it's not so bad.

I'm such a sap!
I am so emotional lately. I was watching this great new drama on CBS called Without a Trace and by the end of the show I was just sobbing. Can you say PMS?? LOL I think I need to stick to sitcoms for a while. I just can't help watching these drama shows. I'm addicted to drama.

A first time for everything

This is my very first entry in my very first weblog! I need to thank Mel for helping me find this site. I've wanted to have my own weblog for a while but didn't know how to go about it since I don't have my own web site and I don't know enough to build my own site. I am using very basic HTML tags just to get colors and things like that. LOL So, 'Thanks Mel!!', I really appreciate your help

I guess I should tell a little about myself. My name is Mandi, I am 27. I am married to a wonderful man (Dave), he's the best, I could not ask for a better husband! We will be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary on March 18th. We have 3 kids- 1 boy, 2 girls. Our oldest is Maxwell- 7 1/2, then we have Madeline who will be six in March and last but not least there is Samantha who is now 3 1/2. We also have two cats who like to call this place home. Our older, more mature cat is Butter and the younger, more spastic cat is Pheobe. I really adore my kitty-babies!
We all live in a cramped, 3 bedroom apartment that is waaaaay too small but we can't afford to move right now so we will just deal with it. We live in New Hampshire now but we used to live in West Virginia for a few years. This is home to me as I was born and raised here. I have no plans of ever leaving NH again.

My husband is a carpenter and has been for over 20 years now. He works for Owens Corning in a division called Home Experts. It's his first really, really decent job- ever!! I just started working too. I work as a representative for Epson printers. I go into my local Best Buy and I stand in the printer aisle and help the customers w/ any questions they have about printers. I try and sell them one of my printers and I must say- I am GOOD! LOL I have sold a printer to people who were just looking and had no plans of buying anything that day. When I am done, they walk out w/ a new Epson printer. I am so proud of myself that I am good at my job. It gives me a real sense of satisfaction that I've never had before. I've finally found something I am really good at and that I enjoy. I come home very tired and sore but also very pleased w/ myself. :o) I like being a working mom instead of being a SAHM. I think because all I've ever been is a SAHM, I am learning what life is like in the outside world. LOL There is more involved in this but I don't feel like going into it.

Well, this has become a mini novel so I'll end it for now. I hope someone finds me interesting enough to come back. If not, I'll just have my own little diary then, huh? :o
